JOB DESCRIPTION
· Reports to the production manager or the shift supervisor.
. Basic computer skills needed – Excel, Word, etc.
· Operates the computer that controls the batching scale, mixer, receiving leg and hammer mill.
· Fill bins with needed products, monitor batching and mixing, weigh out hand-adds, confirm empty bins and operate the hammer mill.
· Record key data for incoming ingredients and for each batch.
· Work with other employees to ensure formulas are followed and ingredients are not wasted or contaminated.
· Fill out appropriate paperwork.
. Load and unload trucks.
. Forklift experience is a plus.
· Work with outside carriers that unload/load our product, with the ability to operate a fork-lift.
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
· Work efficiently in a standing or sitting position for 3-4 hours at time, climbing ladders, and work in heat/cold and dusty environments.
