We are seeking a Right-of-Way (ROW) /Field Inspector to support utility construction, maintenance, and inspection activities within public rights-of-way. This role is ideal for candidates with utility, construction inspection, or public works experience.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience working with public and/or private utilities
- Knowledge of public-sector right-of-way regulations and construction plans
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to document project updates in a CMMS system (such as Cityworks)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Colorado driver's license required
- Must be able to operate a company vehicle
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect utility construction and maintenance work within public rights-of-way
- Ensure work complies with city standards, regulations, and safety requirements
- Coordinate and attend pre-construction meetings
- Document project status, permits, and inspection findings
- Respond to utility emergencies and coordinate corrective actions
- Monitor job sites for compliance with MUTCD, OSHA, and safety policies
- Communicate with contractors, public agencies, and project stakeholders
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and equipment maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Design or Construction Management
- Additional experience with public utilities, ROW regulations, and construction inspection
