Position Title: Adult Protective Services Caseworker
Classification: salary, non-exempt
Reports to: Adult Protective Services Director
Primary Function:
The Adult Protective Services (APS) Caseworker investigates reports of suspected abuse, neglect and/or financial exploitation of older adults in the townships of Palos, Lemont, Orland, Worth and Stickney. The APS Caseworker conducts assessments of the victim’s situation, mental and functional abilities, and safety while recognizing and respecting the victim’s right to self-determination in all areas of assessment and case plan development.
We provide all job training (including IDOA certification) and all CEUs. And you’ll get to work with a solid team of knowledgeable and supportive co-workers.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA or a B.S. in health, social sciences, social work, health care administration, gerontology, or criminal justice, AND one year experience in health or human services.
Desirable Traits: Therapeutic listening skills, the ability to think on your feet, maturity, and a thick skin to be useful to our clients and to function well in this interesting assignment.
Familiarity with MS Office.
Local travel required – must have own vehicle and vehicle insurance.

· Salary Range: $43-46k depending on qualifications (we can exceed this for an experienced candidate)
