SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Director, Community Programs and the Dean, Workforce and Continuing Education the incumbent will lead classroom activities for K-12 camp programming. This position is responsible for the care, safety, protection and supervision of camp participants. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND WORK REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):
High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED:
Associate’s Degree and Two Years of Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Previous experience working with children
CERTIFICATION OR LICENSES:
Valid Texas Driver License or the ability to obtain one SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and methods including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Light physical activity that may include lifting, pushing, pulling of objects up to 25 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Hours will vary based upon camp offerings. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
This is an on-site position. Essential duties of the role must be performed in-person.
Schedule to be determined by Coordinator, Community Programs and Dean, Workforce and Continuing Education.
HOURS REQUIRED PER WEEK:
Up to 19.5 per week, but will vary based upon camp offerings.
