Job Title: Electrician
Shift: 1st Shift
Role Overview
This role focuses on supporting facility communications, maintenance, and control systems. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Industrial IoT and automation, helping improve equipment efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as SME for IoT and control systems, optimizing asset performance using machine data
- Design and maintain dashboards/visualization tools for real-time equipment monitoring
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and report progress to stakeholders
- Plan and coordinate facility shutdowns, outages, and system upgrades
- Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modbus, Profinet)
- Diagnose electrical/mechanical issues and improve production system reliability
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and site leadership
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- (or equivalent experience with ~6 years in similar role)
- Experience with CMMS tools (e.g., Maximo)
- Strong background in root cause analysis and cost optimization
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or holidays if neededPreferred Qualifications
- Experience with IoT sensors and implementation
- Knowledge of networking (servers, subnets, VLANs)
- Background in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics
- Project management and planning experience
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking and repetitive hand movements
- Ability to read technical documents and use computers regularly
- Occasional lifting (light to moderate)
- Local travel with occasional air travel
- Must use PPE (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, etc.)
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $20.00 - $38.00 per hour
