GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, responsible for preparing high-quality meals for members and guests of the country club. This position ensures food is cooked and presented according to club standards while maintaining a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Prepare and cook menu items using standardized recipes and techniques
- Ensure proper portion control and presentation of all dishes
- Operate kitchen tools and appliances safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and workstations
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries
- Monitor food inventory and report shortages or spoilage
- Follow all food safety guidelines and health regulations
- Support banquet and event preparation as needed
- Collaborate with staff for smooth service
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Cook and/or Food and Beverage Manager.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school, and 1-2 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations preferred; or any combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED
TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines including typewriters, cash registers, calculators, etc. Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Light Work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree. However, if the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
