Young Rembrandts is a national award-winning after school program teaching children the the basics of drawing. The curriculum encourages children to express their imaginations while improving motor skills, patience, focus, ability to stay on task, boosting their brain power and self-confidence.
Young Rembrandts is seeking organized, responsible, energetic and enthusiastic candidates. Previous teaching experience is preferred, but not a requirement (retired teachers and stay at home moms are welcome). Young Rembrandts will train qualified instructors in the Young Rembrandts methodology, and provide all lessons and materials.
Young Rembrandts classes happen weekly. The Young Rembrandts instructor (YOU!) must be available to teach in the afternoon (some time between 2:30 and 6:30 pm). You may teach one, two, or more classes each week: You design your schedule. Once assigned to a class, the teacher will stay at that school through the session (example, 8 to 12 weeks commitment).
Additional job requirements:
- Your own transportation and valid Driver’s License
- Proof of auto insurance.
- Home Computer, personal email for communication and mobile phone.
- Excellent communication skills
- Responsible and accountable personality
Please note that this is a VERY part-time position! You are in control of the days you'd like to work. Most of the classes happen at Klein ISD elementary school locations.
