American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring WA State or Compact RN licensure and NRP/FHM certifications on a night shift schedule.

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
-
NOC shift schedule from 1900-0730
-
3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
-
30-minute meal break included
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Must float as a sitter and may float in rotation

Active WA State or Compact RN license required
-
Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and FHM
-
Must function within the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice

Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit-specific standards
-
Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
-
Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
-
Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
-
Evaluate and update discharge plans based on patient needs
-
Document care, assessments, interventions, and responses accurately
-
Provide patient and family education on relevant health information
-
Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
-
Collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team

Participate in ongoing performance evaluation and improvement processes with clinical leadership

Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff per hospital and unit policies
