Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Floor/Cooler Associate to support daily seafood production operations. This position is responsible for ensuring seafood products are properly moved from the cooler to the production floor as needed, assisting with processing activities, and supporting the completion of daily work orders while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Bring seafood products from the cooler to the production floor as needed for daily production operations
- Properly handle fish and seafood products in accordance with company procedures and food safety standards
- Assist production team with processing work orders daily
- Assist with packing completed work orders accurately and efficiently
- Ensure products are handled carefully to maintain quality and freshness
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooler and production areas
- Follow all safety guidelines, sanitation requirements, and company policies
- Work closely with production supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to safely handle fish and seafood products
- Must be comfortable working in a cold/cooler environment for extended periods
- Ability to lift >50lbs, carry, and move seafood products as needed
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Previous seafood, food production, warehouse, or processing experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift >50lbs and move products throughout the shift
- Ability to work in wet and cold conditions
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently
· Standing & walking for long periods of time, lifting up to 50lbs, continuous fine hand manipulation including grasping, reaching, holding, carrying, etc., must be able to bend, stretch, reach overhead. Must be able to work in varying temperatures per department between 36 F to 80F'.
Schedule
Full-Time Position
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6am to 2:30pm.
