We are seeking an Electrical Distribution OT Engineer for the Facilities Related Control Systems (FRCS) Support Services contract. This project will provide knowledge, training, and support to assist the U.S. Marine Corps Public Works Department in the areas of FRCS, Cybersecurity, Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Authority To Operate/Authority to Connect (ATO/ATC) package upkeep and maintenance, USMC Cloud and Cloud-Based A&A support, and data center support/administration for the FRCS virtualized environment, servers, and associated applications. This is a full-time, on-site position at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, and satellite locations near Camp Lejeune, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, within normal business hours (7:00 am to 5:00 pm).

So, what will the Electrical Distribution OT Engineer at Terrestris do?
The Electrical Distribution OT Engineer will be a key billet for the Facilities Related Control Systems (FRCS) Support Services contract. This position designs, configures, and sustains high-voltage SCADA and OT electrical distribution systems supporting mission readiness. This position is contingent upon contract award.
What does a typical day look like for a Electrical Distribution OT Engineer?
You will:
- Design, configure, integrate, and maintain high-voltage SCADA and OT systems supporting electrical distribution networks from 600V through 230KV, ensuring reliable, safe, and continuous mission operations.

Configure, program, test, and troubleshoot SEL relays, RTACs, PLCs, HMIs, Ignition, and OSI SCADA platforms while integrating DNP3, Modbus, OPC UA, mirrored bits, and other industrial communications protocols.

Monitor real-time and historical operational data to identify system trends, diagnose faults, optimize electrical distribution performance, and implement corrective actions that improve system reliability and resiliency.

Perform preventive maintenance, firmware upgrades, software patches, relay testing, calibration validation, and Omicron acceptance testing while documenting results and maintaining configuration management records.

Implement secure OT network architectures and SCADA communications by supporting cybersecurity controls, RMF compliance, NIST SP 800-82 guidance, system accreditation activities, and secure remote communications for industrial control systems.

Develop engineering documentation, operating procedures, network diagrams, and electrical schematics while collaborating with FRCS engineers, systems administrators, and cybersecurity personnel to deploy, sustain, and modernize electrical distribution control systems.

Controls experience, integration, and configuration of SEL (Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories) relays/controls and SEL RTACs (real-time automation controllers).

Expertise in ICS systems - inductive automation, ignition software, SEL HMI, and OSI SCADA platforms.

Expertise in design, development, and deployment of SCADA systems.

Proficient in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) from manufacturers such as SEL, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Schneider Electric.

Expertise in monitoring and analyzing real-time and historical data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues.

Experience in performing software security updates, system patches, software patches, and firmware and version upgrades on SEL devices and ignition software.

Experience with Facilities Related Controls System (FRCS) applications, operating systems, protocols, OPCUA, DNP3, MODBUS, SEL, mirrored bits, and equipment.

Experience in establishing Modbus to DNP3 communications for O/T equipment.

Knowledge and experience with service management, configuration management, change management, incident and problem management process.

Experience with SEL relay testing and maintenance to include documentation of test results, and validation of calibration for all instrumentation and control devices.

Experience with Omicron testing equipment.

Professional Certifications: Core Certification - Inductive automation AND Gold Certification - Inductive automation
We will be extra impressed if you have:
- Expertise in writing policies and procedures for the secure configuration, installation, and management of SCADA and electrical distribution O/T systems

Experience with Automated Metering Systems - AMI (advanced metering infrastructure), AMR (advanced meter reading) and electrical utility metering architecture and operation.

Experience in a Department of War (DoW) O/T environment.

Experience with creating and maintaining O/T networks for SCADA and industrial control applications

Experience with 4G, 5G, and LTE wireless networking and configuration

Experience in the use of SQL and Microsoft Server software
