Paralegal – Full time with benefits, paid vacation and holidays. Must be organized with good people/phone skills and able to multi-task under deadlines. Must be able to communicate effectively with attorneys and clients with particular sensitivity to the needs of survivors of domestic violence. Performs legally substantive work under the supervision of attorneys. The position will entail conducting initial client intakes, preparing pleadings, correspondence and memos, preparing and answering discovery, setting hearings, organizing and chronicling exhibits, working with attorneys to prepare for mediation and trial, conducting legal research, regularly updating case management database and front desk coverage. Microsoft Word mandatory and must be able to type minimum 45 WPM. Candidates must be computer proficient and capable of learning specialized case management software. Family law and/or consumer law experience required and legal research experience preferred. Bilingual a plus. Benefits are employer paid.
