The ideal candidate for the Children’s & Family Pastor at FBC Georgetown will be a passionate leader who loves to shepherd children from birth through 6th grade and who can inspire a culture where kids and families thrive in their walk with Christ. They will demonstrate the ability to shape a generation of children, building strong foundations of faith, and come alongside parents as their greatest partners in discipleship. Also, this person will bring vision and creativity to outreach, discipleship, equipping parents, raising up volunteers, and creating spaces where children encounter the Gospel in life-giving ways.
Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership for all children’s programming (birth–6th grade)
- Equip and disciple parents to be primary faith influencers
- Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer leaders
- Oversee curriculum and ensure doctrinal alignment
- Plan and execute outreach events, VBS, and seasonal festivals
- Partner with Student Pastor for smooth transitions from children’s to student ministry
- Maintain security and safety standards for children’s ministry environment

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (seminary or ministry-related education a plus)
- Previous ministry experience helpful but not required — potential and calling valued

- Ability to raise up and develop leaders
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Relational, approachable, and culturally aware
