Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
- Providing companionship
- Assist with light housekeeping
- Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or social activities to promote community engagement.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and organizing living spaces.
- Document patient progress, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with clients’ families or healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in patient observation
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience maintaining confidentiality of sensitive health information.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare professionals effectively.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays enhances your ability to provide specialized support.
