Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated End Cook to join our kitchen team. The End Cook is primarily responsible for preparing and cooking fried rice, noodle dishes, and other menu items according to our recipes and quality standards. This position also assists with preparing meats, vegetables, and other ingredients to ensure the kitchen is properly stocked and ready for service.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, can maintain consistent food quality during busy periods, and works well as part of a team.
Duties
- Prepare and cook fried rice, noodle dishes, and other menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Operate wok, range, fryer, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Prepare meats, vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients for cooking
- Assist with cutting, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain proper food quality, portion sizes, and presentation
- Keep the cooking station clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout each shift
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining accuracy and consistency
- Communicate and coordinate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service
- Assist with general kitchen duties and cleaning as needed
Experience
- Previous experience as a cook, preferably with wok or high-volume cooking experience, is preferred but not required
- Experience preparing fried rice, noodle dishes, or other Asian-style cuisine is a plus
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures is desirable
