Job Summary

Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and orthodontics (INVISALIGN).
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring an aseptic environment.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Monitor vital signs and medical history to ensure patient safety before procedures.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Support front desk operations by assisting the dental receptionist with appointment scheduling and patient communication when needed.
- Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization techniques and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
- Document medical and dental procedures accurately in medical records with proper coding for billing purposes.
- Collaborate in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow and enhance patient comfort during treatments.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols essential for safe practice.
- Experience with X-ray procedures, including digital imaging and 3D scanning techniques.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently across various specialties like pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics.
Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
