We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and versatile Facilities & Client Support Assistant to join our team. This unique position combines facility operations with direct client support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, helping others, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

What You'll Do
Facility & Operations Support
Help ensure our offices and service locations remain clean, organized, safe, and welcoming by:
- Performing routine custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, and trash removal.
- Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
- Restocking cleaning and facility supplies and monitoring inventory levels.
- Preparing meeting rooms and shared spaces for daily activities and events.
- Assisting with furniture moves, office setup, and minor equipment relocation.
- Reporting maintenance concerns and coordinating with supervisors regarding repairs.
- Securing facilities by ensuring lights are turned off, doors are locked, and spaces are safely maintained.
Client & Program Support
Help support individuals receiving services and assist agency operations by:
- Providing supportive supervision and positive engagement for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
- Transporting clients safely to appointments, recreational activities, and community events.
- Assisting with front desk coverage, greeting visitors, and answering phones as needed.
- Picking up and delivering agency supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Completing transportation logs and service-related documentation accurately and timely.
- Communicating respectfully and professionally with clients, families, coworkers, and community partners.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is:
- Compassionate, patient, and service-oriented.
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Skilled at using good judgment and solving problems effectively.
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, computers, and basic software applications (training available).
- Willing to learn and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Flexible and willing to occasionally assist with evening or weekend needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least six (6) months of custodial, janitorial, maintenance, or related experience preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable vehicle and current automobile insurance.
- Ability to pass an Alaska Background Check Unit criminal history screening.
- Current TB test (may be completed upon hire).
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training available).
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This position includes both indoor and occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Employees should be able to:
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and move throughout the day.
- Frequently lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Work comfortably in office, assisted living, and community-based settings.
- Tolerate moderate noise levels and changing daily tasks.
