General Summary
Responsible for creating the tags in the Sap System, and the handling of the final product, everything that is on the pallets, assuring that the product complies with the parameters and the clients expectations.
Essential Functions
· Pushing and pulling pallets.
· Handling of packaging materials.
· Provides assistance as directed by leads and/or supervisors for repackaging and reworking product.
· Verifies codes dates, sealing, product weight, and product appearance is within specified parameters and conforms to clients expectations.
· Coordinate the product orders with Leads and Supervisors assuring that all orders are completed according to schedule.
· Create tags according to work instructions.
· Be prepared to cover other positions when requested by a Lead or Supervisor.
· Performs visual inspection of product ensuring quality is acceptable.
· Keeps work area clean. Perform cleaning of area assigned.
· Assists in the training of new personnel.
· Provides suggestions to improve process, procedures and department in support of company goals
· Follows Company, GMP and Safety policies including LOTO policies to ensure compliance with the HACCP program and AIB gold standard.
· Follows all food safety principles and legal requirements
· Maintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork.
· Works in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements.
· Participates in monthly departmental meetings including quality and safety.
· Must work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends including overtime if necessary.
· Other duties, as assigned.
