Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Treatment Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. Duties
- Assess patient conditions through detailed examinations, vital signs monitoring, and physiological evaluations to inform treatment plans.
- Complete weekly wound rounds with attending physician
- Complete Wound Reports and Skin Assessments
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies by implementing first aid procedures, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response protocols.
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, therapists, and support staff—to develop and execute effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, post-treatment care, medication usage, and preventive practices.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations, nursing policies, and State Board of Nursing standards while maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
- Knowledge of infectious disease management, geriatrics, and post-acute care practices.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical records management;
- Skilled in IV insertion, venipuncture, medication administration, vital signs assessment, and basic life support (BLS), including CPR/AED certification.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pharmacology relevant to diverse patient populations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families; excellent communication skills are a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and adhering to nursing practice acts and healthcare regulations.
- Manual handling expertise for safe patient transfers and equipment operation; knowledge of infection control protocols is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within clinical interprofessional teams in inpatient or outpatient environments.
