Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Apartment Leasing Manager to lead our leasing operations and deliver exceptional customer service. In this role, you will oversee the leasing process, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with fair housing regulations. Duties
- Manage the entire leasing cycle from initial inquiry to lease signing, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for prospective residents
- Utilize property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite to track leads, process applications, and maintain accurate records
- Conduct property tours, highlighting features and benefits to upsell units while aligning with client needs
- Negotiate lease or rental agreements, contracts, and renewal terms with applicants while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines
- Oversee lease administration including data entry, filing, and maintaining legal documentation related to landlord-tenant law and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs
- Collaborate with property management teams to coordinate property maintenance, facilities management, and tenant relations
- Lead a team of leasing agents by providing training, conflict management support, and performance feedback to foster a motivated sales environment
- Engage in client communication via phone etiquette, email correspondence, and in-person interactions to build strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor leasing budgets and occupancy targets while implementing strategic sales initiatives to optimize revenue streams
Experience
- Proven property management or real estate administrative experience with a focus on leasing operations
- Extensive knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC compliance, and legal administrative procedures
- Hands-on experience with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential
- Strong conflict management skills coupled with excellent customer service abilities to resolve tenant issues effectively
- Demonstrated success in sales, upselling rental units, negotiation of contracts, and client relationship management
- Experience managing a team within a property management company environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with property maintenance coordination, facilities management tools like CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and data entry accuracy is preferred
- Office experience handling filing systems, legal documentation, and phone etiquette in a fast-paced setting
