We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate SMT equipment, ensuring proper placement of surface-mount components on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Follow detailed blueprint specifications, schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams to accurately assemble electronic assemblies.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, and ohmmeters to perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks with precision.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
- Conduct soldering using IPC 610 standards to ensure reliable electrical connections on surface-mount components.
- Perform routine inspections of assembled PCBs for quality compliance using IPC standards and mechanical knowledge.
- Assist in electrical panel building and wiring tasks as needed, supporting the overall manufacturing workflow.
- Troubleshoot electro-mechanical components and resolve engineering issues related to assembly or equipment operation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, inspection results, and troubleshooting steps.
Experience
- Proven experience working with PCB assembly, surface mount technology (SMT), or electronics manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematic reading, blueprint interpretation, and wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with soldering techniques adhering to IPC 610 standards.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and machining processes is preferred.
- Ability to use measurement tools such as calipers and ohmmeters accurately in quality inspections.
- Experience with electrical panel building, troubleshooting electro-mechanical components, and engineering troubleshooting is a plus.
- Prior exposure to electrical schematic reading, blueprint following, and working with schematics is highly desirable.
