Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile Hotel Maintenance Engineer/Security to ensure the seamless operation and safety of our hotel facilities. This energetic role combines hands-on maintenance with vigilant security responsibilities, creating a safe, well-maintained environment that enhances guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Duties
- 3pm-11pm for engineering shifts
- 11pm-7am overnight PT security
- Looking for FT or PT people
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and facilities equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues using schematics, hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, welding, and facilities upkeep to prolong the lifespan of hotel assets.
- Monitor building interior maintenance needs including repairs to walls, ceilings, floors, and fixtures to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Oversee security operations by controlling access points, conducting patrols of the premises, responding to alarms or incidents swiftly, and maintaining safety protocols.
- Supervise maintenance team members or contractors when necessary; provide leadership in managing daily tasks and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and security incidents using CMMS or other documentation tools.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations such as electrical faults or plumbing leaks to minimize disruption and ensure guest safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance with strong mechanical knowledge across HVAC systems, electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, carpentry, welding, and painting.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring and mechanical systems; ability to read technical diagrams accurately.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools (including ohmmeters), CMMS software, and maintenance painting techniques.
- Knowledge of security procedures including access control systems and CCTV surveillance; previous supervising experience is a plus.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot using tools like ohmmeters; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English; capable of providing clear instructions and detailed reports.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders or working in confined spaces; standing or walking for extended periods is required.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining a positive work environment.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
