bedside nursing skills REQUIRED
Looking for experienced, compassionate, hard working Licensed Vocational Nurses who demonstrate ability to multitask and be efficient.
Job Duties (include but not limited to):
LVN ( Licensed Vocational Nurse)
- Performs direct nursing care to include AM/ PM care; skin, bowel, bladder programs, nutrition and hydration, medications and ordered treatments, transfers, NG tube and gastrostomy tube feedings; positioning and wheelchair safety.
- Implements plan of care initiated by the registered nurse.
- Utilizes all available resources in planning care and consults as needed with RN’s, medical staff, outside specialists or consultants, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Continuously reviews, evaluates, and documents the effectiveness of nursing care, and accomplishment of client goals for discharge.
- Uses equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently.
- Participates in personal and professional growth and development.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the registered nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor.
- Strives for excellence in client care and works to coordinate with other disciplines to ensure client safety and well being.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current California LVN license and CPR certification (American Heart Association only), with the minimum of two years nursing care experience in sub-acute orCLHF settings. Provides care in accordance with treatment plan and professional nursing practices. Knowledge of assessment and documentation, spinal cord injury, wound care and staging, g-tube placement and care, tracheostomy care and ventilator experience.
