Job Summary:
The Facilities Service Worker position is an essential part of the Department of Culture, Parks, and Recreation. This position is responsible for facility cleaning and maintenance at one of six CPRD facilities that may include the UCCC, Recreation Center, Active Adult Center, Family FunPlex, Ice Haus, or Rodarte Center. This position’s primary responsibilities will be at the Family FunPlex. In addition, this position is expected to communicate effectively with their supervisor and various CPRD staff for setup and tear down of events.

- Knowledge of the business and organizational structure of Colorado municipalities.
- Collaboration skills, including the ability to work with others from different areas and backgrounds to reach a common goal.
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance as it relates to public buildings.
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills required.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions required.
- Proficient computer skills to use Outlook, Connect2 (work order entry software), Amelia software for event schedules, coordination, TEAMS for virtual meetings and Oracle for payroll, requested PTO and evaluations.
Handle difficult situations with facility guests with patience, good judgement, and diplomacy.

Travel:
Category A-Standard Local Travel: This position requires occasional local travel within the County. Employees may be expected to walk or drive short distances to attend meetings, trainings, or perform work at other city buildings or partner sites.
Essential Functions:
Facility Maintenance
- Directly responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of the Family FunPlex.
- Operates small equipment such as buffers, vacuums, extractors, and lifts.
- Provides general maintenance and repairs including light bulb replacement, painting, wall repairs, and other minor tasks.
- Maintains the grounds around the Family FunPlex with the assistance of the Parks and Forestry Department. This includes gum removal, sidewalk cleaning, pest control/clean up, trimming and leaf cleanup, using hand garden tools, operating small equipment such as a hand blower and snow blower.
Directly responsible for overseeing the outdoor miniature golf course. This includes mowing, weeding, sign repair, carpet repair, block edging repair, aeration, trash/leave removal, water feature maintenance and winterization.
- Assists with snow removal, including: hand shoveling, snow blowing, operating the Gator with plow and applying ice melt.
- Assists in deep cleaning projects at multiple facilities during closures.
- Removes trash and provides maintenance of building exterior and grounds.
Customer Service and Event Setup
- Provides setup and tear down for facilities events.
- Demonstrates a high level of internal and external customer service.
- Communicates effectively with staff to ensure event and programming needs are met.
- Use of Amelia software to schedule facility events and support facility needs.
Reporting to Supervisor
- Meets weekly with the Crew Leader and provide update on staff, facilities, events, and maintenance.
Communication

- Establishes routines and standing instructions that provide clear and defined framework of operations.
- Follows instructions that provide some latitude to consider variations in sequences of procedures based on situations encountered.
