Full and part time positions available. Duties include cleaning, feeding, walking, and bathing of the animals in our care. Animal care staff assist our volunteers and customers looking to adopt a pet.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Kennel Attendant
Clean and disinfect animal housing areas as well as general housekeeping.
Maintain proper inventory levels of cleaning and other supplies. Informs manager when reordering is necessary.
Socialize dogs and cats, training and enrichment to resident animals as instructed by the Shelter Manager. This includes multiple daily walks (dogs).
Provide basic care to both dogs and cats, which may also include bathing.
Assist co-workers with laundry duties.
Perform other related work as required.
Pet Adoption Counseling Activities
Meet with potential adopters, show and discuss animal with potential adopter, observe interactions between pets and potential adopters as well as any existing resident pets, educates adopters about proper pet care.
Assist with a variety of clerical duties at the shelter such as updating records, adoption paperwork, creating adoption folders, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience preferred, but willing to train qualified candidate.
A strong commitment to the welfare and proper treatment of animals.
Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Comfortable within a team environment.
Ability to work on weekends and holidays.
Valid Drivers License.

Pay: $15.92 - $18.00 per hour
