Job Summary
ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER
Pike's Waterfront Lodge is seeking an energetic and detail oriented Assistant Outside Housekeeping Manager to join our team and help manager our 243 room property.
You would be working under the direction of our Executive Housekeeper, you will play a key leadership role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction across our large waterfront property-including both interior guest rooms and exterior/outdoor areas.
This position does require you to be an outside.
Duties
- Assist the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily housekeeping operations across the resort or hotel property.
- Assign daily workloads, inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness and quality standards.
- Assist in hands-on cleaning and support staff when needed.
- Supervise and motivate housekeeping up to 30 staff members to deliver exceptional guest experiences through meticulous cleaning and attention to detail
- Coordinate with front desk and maintenance teams to ensure timely room availability and special requests are fulfilled efficiently
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to uphold cleanliness standards and safety protocols
- Support training initiatives for staff on cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and customer service excellence
- Assist with hiring, training, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct daily department briefing and maintain staff accountability.
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens, ensuring cost-effective usage and timely replenishment.
- Place and manage supply and linen orders.
- Utilize computer systems for scheduling, reporting and departmental communications.
- Write and enforce housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns related to housekeeping services promptly, maintaining a positive guest relations experience
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel or resort housekeeping management or supervisory roles
- Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance communication with diverse guests and team members
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language is preferred to facilitate effective communication in a multicultural environment
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, front desk operations, and guest relations practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Previous experience working in a resort setting is advantageous
- Proficient in basic computer skills (scheduling software, email, and inventoyr systems)
- Ability to walk extensively and work in various weather conditions.

- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
