American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a fast-paced Cardiology Clinic position in Sheboygan, WI, requiring at least 3 years of relevant cardiac or clinic experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Outpatient cardiology clinic setting located within a medical office building on a hospital campus
-
11-room clinic with a high-volume patient load of 24–60 adult patients per day, seen every 15 minutes

Patient population includes CHF, chest pain, pre/post cath lab, post-CABG, post-valve replacement, pulmonary hypertension, peripheral artery disease, EP patients, and stress test patients

Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a rotating half day off each week (40 hrs/week)

No weekend rotation, on-call, or holiday requirements

No floating required

EMR: Epic (preferred)

Equipment includes EKG machines, Alaris IV pumps, and Zio & Bardy monitors

Active WI or compact RN license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant specialty area; clinic, ICU/CVICU, cath lab, or cardiac stepdown experience accepted

Most recent experience must be within the last year

Comfort with cardiology patient population and associated diagnoses

At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the last year

Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Candidate middle name or initial required for consideration

Responsibilities include prior authorization of procedures, order entry, patient education, in-basket management, calling patients with abnormal lab results, and phone triage
-
May assist with rooming patients and obtaining EKGs, though MAs perform the majority of this work
-
Will place Holter and event monitors; on-the-job education available for candidates without prior experience

Occasional administration of IV dobutamine for stress tests may be required
-
Supported by MAs, LPNs, patient service reps, a lead nurse, manager/supervisor, 5 cardiologists, 1 EP physician, and 4 NP/PAs
-
Orientation is up to two weeks based on individual skillset and comfort level

Two-stage interview process: initial clinical interview followed by a manager interview

Scrubs must be any solid color; no graphics, logos, or designs
-
Free parking available on site

Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
