Location: Southwoods Executive Centre | Boardman, Ohio
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday (Two Shifts Available) 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Healthcare Financial Navigator / Patient Access Specialist to join our team. In this critical revenue cycle role, you will ensure a seamless billing process for our patients by accurately verifying insurance coverage, confirming benefits, securing necessary authorizations, and calculating patient financial responsibilities prior to their care.
Key Responsibilities
- Insurance Verification: Confirm insurance coverage, workers’ compensation, and state programs for all scheduled medical procedures.
- Prior Authorizations: Secure, verify, and document precertification numbers and authorizations well before the scheduled date of service.
- Patient Education: Clearly communicate complex benefit details, in-network vs. out-of-network status, and out-of-pocket cost estimates directly to patients.
- Care Coordination: Actively monitor authorization statuses and escalate cases to supervisors if approvals are not secured within 72 hours of a scheduled procedure.
- Compliance & Growth: Maintain strict adherence to all federal, state, and regulatory guidelines while staying up-to-date on evolving medical necessity and prior authorization rules.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous professional experience in medical insurance verification is preferred but not required.
- Industry Knowledge: A strong foundational understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations and financial clearance services.
- Core Skills: Exceptional time management skills and a proven ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
