Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Masonry Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of masonry tasks that bring architectural visions to life, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise in concrete forming, rebar installation, and finishing techniques will be crucial in delivering high-quality projects on time and within scope. Responsibilities
- Construct, repair, and restore structures using bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other masonry materials with precision and attention to detail.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Prepare surfaces and formwork for concrete pouring, ensuring proper alignment and reinforcement with rebar installation.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
- Apply finishing techniques such as troweling, plastering, stucco application, caulking, and tile laying to achieve smooth surfaces and desired textures.
- Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, metal stud framers, and other tradespeople during renovation or restoration projects.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction site operations including blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Proficiency in concrete forming, concrete finishing, rebar installation, stucco application, and tile laying.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., trowels, hammers), power tools (e.g., saws, drills), and heavy equipment (e.g., mixers).
- Knowledge of masonry techniques such as hardscape design and metal stud framing for interior or exterior applications.
- Ability to operate welding equipment for structural repairs or custom fabrications.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes for material needs and project timelines.
