The Nurse is responsible for overseeing the medical and health-related needs of individuals attending our adult day program. This position works closely with the Program Manager, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), families, guardians, physicians, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers to ensure quality care while maintaining compliance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the overall health and wellness of program participants.
- Administer medications and oversee medication management.
- Maintain accurate Medication Administration Records (MARs).
- Conduct medication audits and ensure proper storage and documentation.
- Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, guardians, and case managers.
- Maintain confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
- Train and support staff on medication administration, health protocols, and medical procedures.
- Respond appropriately to medical concerns and emergencies.
- Assist with health assessments, incident reporting, and follow-up documentation.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies and Colorado regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff.
- Support participants during community activities when needed.
Pay: $35.00 - $54.00 per hour
