Account Manager – Commercial & Industrial Electrical Construction

We're looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our growing team in Charleston, SC. This is an outstanding opportunity for a relationship-driven professional with a strong commercial and industrial electrical construction background who enjoys developing new business, managing key customer relationships, and delivering exceptional service.
This is not an entry-level sales role. We're seeking someone who understands the electrical construction industry, speaks the language of contractors and facility owners, and can confidently identify opportunities while partnering with operations to deliver successful projects.
What You'll Do
- Develop and grow long-term relationships with commercial and industrial customers.
- Generate new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts.
- Meet with customers to identify electrical service, maintenance, and construction needs.
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and project scopes.
- Coordinate with operations, project managers, and field leadership to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage project financial performance, customer expectations, and overall satisfaction.
- Identify change orders and additional revenue opportunities.
- Conduct regular customer and jobsite visits to strengthen relationships and support project success.
- Resolve customer issues quickly while maintaining a high level of service.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, account activity, and pipeline reporting.
- Promote a strong safety culture and support company safety initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical construction experience.
- Experience working for an electrical contractor is required.
- Proven success in account management, business development, project management, or electrical service management.
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, service work, maintenance, and construction operations.
- Experience preparing estimates, proposals, and project budgets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Ability to manage multiple customers, priorities, and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Highly Preferred
- An existing book of business and established relationships within the commercial or industrial electrical construction market is a significant advantage.

- Experience with Bluebeam, Accubid, or other electrical estimating software.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.

Required Experience
Candidates must have experience working for an electrical contractor in commercial and/or industrial construction. Applicants without electrical construction experience will not be considered.
