Role Overview
We are currently looking for a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to become part of a premier fiber-based packaging producer located in Mason, MI. This full-time, direct-hire position is perfect for a seasoned maintenance expert eager to contribute to a reliable, collaborative manufacturing setting where your technical expertise will play a vital role in enhancing machine performance, operational output, and overall facility success.
Shift Details
Positions are available in Mason, MI. We are currently hiring for First Shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and Second Shift (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM). Please note that within roughly six months, the schedule will shift to a 12-hour rotating 2-2-3 pattern, with openings on both First and Third shifts.
Core Responsibilities

Diagnose and fix production and facility machinery to ensure optimal operational availability.

Provide rapid response to equipment malfunctions, performing necessary repairs to reduce production interruptions.

Execute routine preventative maintenance tasks while proactively suggesting ways to enhance system performance.

Perform diagnostic and repair work on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and fundamental electrical components.

Use CMMS platforms to log all maintenance tasks, repairs, and service requests.

Assist with the installation of new equipment, system upgrades, and various continuous improvement initiatives.

Work alongside Engineering, Quality, and Production departments to boost the efficiency of manufacturing hardware.

Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to all established safety protocols.
Required Qualifications

Possession of a GED or high school diploma; additional technical certifications or relevant training are highly valued.

Minimum of two years of hands-on experience performing industrial maintenance within a manufacturing setting.

Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair.

Proven background in operating and maintaining complex industrial production machinery.

Capability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints accurately.

Proficiency in the safe operation of diagnostic tools, power tools, and standard hand tools.

Strong analytical abilities to help resolve complex technical issues and foster a proactive maintenance culture.
