Overview
ABZ Care Services Corp is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Personal Support / Companion Care Provider for a client in Davie, Broward County.
This is a meaningful role for someone who enjoys helping individuals with daily routines, companionship, safety supervision, and personal support in a home or community setting. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, emotionally mature, and able to create a calm, respectful, and supportive environment.
There may be another person present in the home, but the provider must still be attentive, responsible, and able to follow the client’s support plan and family instructions.
Duties
Responsibilities may include:
- Assist with daily routines and Activities of Daily Living
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and supervision to promote safety and well-being
- Support the client with community activities, routines, and independence-building when appropriate
- Follow the care/support plan and family instructions carefully
- Observe and report any changes, concerns, or incidents promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment through light housekeeping, laundry, and basic organization
- Document care activities as required
- Communicate professionally with the family, client, and agency team
Requirements
- Prior experience in home care, personal support, companion care, group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred
- Experience with autism, developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, or long-term support is a plus
- Must be dependable, punctual, patient, and compassionate
- Must have reliable transportation to Davie, FL
- Must be able to understand and communicate basic English
- Must be able to follow instructions and maintain professional boundaries
- Must pass required background screening
- CPR/First Aid, HIPAA training, and medication assistance training are preferred or may be required depending on the case
- Must be physically able to safely assist with basic mobility and daily support tasks as needed
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is calm, responsible, consistent, and truly committed to caregiving. This position requires someone with strong attendance, good judgment, patience, and the ability to maintain a stable schedule with minimal last-minute callouts.
