American Traveler is seeking an IR Technologist with 2+ years of experience in interventional radiology, including coronary, IABP, and Impella, for a 13-week acute care assignment.

Acute care hospital setting in an IR/Cath Lab unit with 4 procedure rooms
-
STEMI receiving center with 15–20 cases per day on average
-
Cases include coronary and peripheral interventions, STEMIs, IABP, Impella, IVUS, FFR, AngioJet, laser, rotablator, and nitric oxide procedures
-
Critically ill patient population, including patients requiring ventilators
-
Cardiologist and respiratory therapist available on standby or on-site 24/7, with 24/7 in-house pharmacy support

Charting system: Cerner; hemodynamic monitoring via Merge Hemo system; Siemens/Philips imaging equipment (familiarity helpful but not required)

12-hour day shifts, every other weekend (EOW)

On-call requirement: 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend EOW rotation with a 30-minute response time

First to float per facility policy

1–2 days of unit-specific orientation provided
-
Minimum 2 years of IR/Cath Lab experience required

Experience with coronary and peripheral circulator (circ) roles required
-
Experience with IABP (balloon pumps) and Impella required
-
Active ARRT certification and Fluoroscopy permit required; pending certifications not accepted

Current BLS required
-
Active state or compact (NLC) license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted — license required if applicable

Comfortable working with critically ill patients

Valid driver's license required

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Perform coronary and peripheral interventional procedures including STEMIs, IABP, Impella, IVUS, FFR, AngioJet, laser, and rotablator cases

Experience with Merge Hemo system is a plus

A manager interview is required for this position

All MyJourney onboarding modules must be completed prior to arrival — failure to complete modules before the start date will result in being pushed back, with no exceptions

Teal blue scrubs are provided

Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
