This position will focus on the execution of all recruiting functions, with an emphasis on sourcing, assessing, and onboarding new talent, across multiple states. While generally located in New Bern, NC, some travel to other NC offices may be required.
Job Purpose
Goes above and beyond to achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates, advising managers, and conducting customer visits. Successful candidates in this role will be self-motivated, adaptable, dependable, and able to foster relationships with employees & customers alike. Most importantly, we are seeking a , that will jump in and assist with any business needs.
Staffing Specialists work in person, 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday; this is a full time, temp-hire employment opportunity with benefits offered.
Responsibilities
- Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs.
- Determines candidate requirements by analyzing job description and job qualifications/requirements.
- Utilize existing databases and resources to identify potential candidate matches. Attracts candidates by placing job advertisements using existing company resources and standards.
- Research and identify new sources for candidates using your knowledge of tools, systems and industry directories and standards. Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services and colleges and attending/hosting job fairs. Builds and maintains rapport with community resources.
- Determines applicant qualifications by reviewing resumes; interviewing candidates; analyzing responses & skills assessments; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Conduct and evaluate candidate testing/assessments, background checks, and reference checks.
- Flexibility to reprioritize focus as necessary, to achieve time sensitive goals.
- Provide excellent customer service through consistent and timely communication via phone, email, and/or text.
- Provide excellent communication via follow up correspondence to candidates on recruiting status via phone, email, and/or text.
- Complete onboarding processes.
- Conduct customer visits on a weekly basis to maintain current and grow new/potential relationships.
- Provide drug and alcohol screening support when needed (training and certification provided).
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional. publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass pre-employment screenings
- Ability to type at least 35 wpm
- 1 year of clerical experience (in some singular or combined capacity of clerical/administrative/receptionist position)
- 1 year customer service experience
- Professional office experience preferred
Compensation
$15+/hour, DOE. After probationary period, eligible for: PTO, Dental, Life and Long Term Disability Insurance, and bonus pay (based on performance and business growth).
