We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to oversee commercial and industrial construction projects in the Lake Charles, LA area. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating field operations, directing subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plan.
Travel between project sites is required. Company-paid lodging, fuel, and travel expenses are provided while working away from home.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities from project start through completion.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate and direct subcontractors, vendors, and field crews.
- Coordinate and oversee masonry, concrete, structural, and other subcontracted trades to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules.
- Ensure projects stay on schedule while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct daily site inspections and enforce all safety requirements.
- Coordinate deliveries, equipment, and materials.
- Communicate project progress with project managers, clients, and field personnel.
- Resolve field issues while maintaining productivity and project timelines.
- Complete daily reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Construction Superintendent, Site Superintendent, General Superintendent, or Lead Foreman.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proven experience directing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades.
- Masonry construction experience is a strong plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage schedules, priorities, and field operations effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel to various project locations as needed.
Pay & Benefits
