We are seeking a dependable and experienced Regional CDL A Company Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers across regional routes, ensuring timely delivery of freight while maintaining safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving background, familiarity with various trailer types, and a commitment to excellent service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks across regional routes.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper functioning.
- Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or issues encountered on the road.
- Assist with securing loads and ensuring cargo is properly balanced and secured during transit.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred but not required.
- Prior experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or similar equipment is highly desirable.
- Delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and load & unload procedures.
- Ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Familiarity with freight handling, load securing, and DOT regulations.
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with endorsements relevant to the equipment operated (if applicable).
- Ability to work independently on regional routes while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
