The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is committed to eradicating homelessness among our veterans.
The Foundation is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to assist in all matters related to our National Case Management Network. Applicants must be well organized, able to multitask in a timely fashion effectively, possess a keen attention to detail, be able to prioritize workload, and handle sensitive information.
Duties and responsibilities
- Perform administrative duties such as screening a high volume of calls; managing calendars; scheduling travel, meeting, and team event arrangements; mailing letters and packages.
- Assist with reconciliation of vendor payments and tracking.
- Provide general support for managing urgent needs for interested and enrolled Veteran participants.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, both internally with members of the team and externally.
- Research, prioritize, and follow up on issues and concerns involving veterans' needs and external resources.
- Maintain oversight for matters related to workflow challenges or technical issues.
- Work collaboratively with the HVP Administrative Coordinators to ensure consistency among programs and program standards.
- Assist as needed with special projects.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ executive-level administrative experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines.
- Nonprofit experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/ Google Suite (or equivalent).Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and multitask in an innovative and timely fashion.
- Detailed-oriented
- Must be a team player and able to work in a collaborative environment

Working conditions
Special Working conditions may include: a change in days worked, shift hours, and/or working conditions (outdoors or other locations) when participating and assisting in special events as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
