Position Summary
We’re looking for a sharp, organized Auto Parts Estimator to support daily shop operations by building accurate repair estimates, coordinating vehicle flow to technicians, and managing the full parts process—from identifying and ordering parts to staging/dispatching them to the shop floor. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong computer skills, a solid understanding of automotive repairs and parts, and the ability to stay calm and accurate under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate repair estimates based on technician findings, inspections, and customer concerns
- Identify correct parts (OEM/aftermarket) and labor operations for common repairs and maintenance
- Order parts from vendors, confirm pricing/availability, and track delivery times
- Receive parts and dispatch/stage parts to technicians to keep work moving
- Help dispatch vehicles to technicians and support workflow coordination throughout the day
- Communicate clearly with service advisors, technicians, and vendors to prevent delays
- Maintain organized documentation (quotes, invoices, part numbers, vendor notes, returns/warranties)
- Assist with returns, core management, and warranty parts processing as needed
- Use shop software and vendor systems to keep estimates/parts status updated in real time
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong computer skills (comfortable working quickly in multiple systems/screens)
- Working knowledge of automotive parts and repairs (diagnostic-related parts knowledge is a plus)
- Ability to write clear, detailed estimates with accuracy and urgency
- High attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to stay organized under pressure
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a repair shop, dealership, or automotive parts environment
- Parts store experience (NAPA, Advance Auto Parts, O’Reilly, dealership parts counter, etc.)
- Familiarity with estimating/parts lookup tools and vendor ordering platforms
- Understanding of labor times and common repair procedures

Work Environment
This role is in a busy automotive shop environment. You’ll be working closely with technicians and service staff and will need to move quickly, think clearly, and keep things organized as priorities shift throughout the day.
