About the Role:
Join our dedicated team at Tennessee Valley Land and Environment as a Local Dump Truck Driver on the night shift! This role is essential for ensuring timely and safe transportation of materials throughout North Alabama, while being part of a company that values your contributions.
Responsibilities:
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials to and from job sites safely.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and materials transported.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately.
- Ensure a clean and organized truck and work area.
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of local roads and routes is a plus.
