Camp Bow Wow in Sherwood is the premier Pet Care Facility in the Sherwood area. We are growing again and need to expand our team of Rockstar Camp Counselors. Our Camp Counselors are a critical component of our business, we work hard and we have FUN! Our daily flow here is fast paced and filled with multi-tasking. You will get your steps in, you will never be bored, and your face will hurt from smiling so much! Counselors are responsible for providing outstanding care to our Canine Campers, and upholding the gold standard values our brand requires.
About the Job
A Camp Counselor takes responsibility for dog care, heavy cleaning and play yard monitoring. You will be on your feet the entirety of your shift.
Primary Responsibilities
· Monitor dogs in play yard – we use non evasive methods, no squirt bottles, no negativity.
· Maintaining a clean environment – you will be cleaning constantly
· Feeding, cleaning cabins, lifting heavy items.
· Constantly walking and interacting with dogs and team members.
· MAINTAINING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT! We do provide training for this, and our Counselors are expected to use that training every day.
· Be active and attentive to dogs at all times.
In order to be successful in this role you must have a positive attitude, a desire to uplift team members, an aversion to drama, and the deep unwavering desire to provide dogs with the absolute best care according to our standards (which are high!).

· Must be able to work at a fast pace, in a team environment, and have exceptional customer service skills!
· MUST LOVE DOGS - the noise, the hair, the messes, the love, and the smiles!!!!!!!!
· Must have reliable transportation, we are not located close to the major bus lines.
· At least 18 years or older
· .Be able to lift dog food and supplies.
· Constantly walk and/or stand entire shift.
Availability
Part time and full time available. Must be able to work varying shift(s) per week and have open availability every day of the week. Camp is open 7 days a week, so weekends and holidays are required, as well as occasional “on call” availability. The schedule for this position does have the potential to change rapidly, it requires flexibility and a go with the flow attitude.
Compensation/Advancement
We do provide uniforms, personal pet discounts and extensive training. Everyone starts out on a level playing field here. Our Counselors do receive a good amount of tips, and those are divided up fairly. Tips regularly add up to an additional $2.00 - $4.00 per hour. Opportunities to advance into full time or lead positions do exist for those who want to strive for more. After 90 days we provide certification in Pet CPR/First Aid. Cross training into areas such a front desk is possible, and we will help support career pursuits related to Dog Grooming and Training. Raises are all merit based, eligibility is determined at 90 days, 6 months and annually.
