About the Opportunity
We are seeking highly motivated Master's-level and Doctoral-level professionals or graduate students in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health fields who are passionate about serving immigrant and underserved populations.
This is a flexible, project-based remote opportunity focused on conducting immigration psychological evaluations through telehealth. Evaluators will receive comprehensive training, supervision, and ongoing support while gaining valuable experience in trauma-informed clinical assessment and immigration-related mental health services.
IMPORTANT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (APPLICATIONS NOT MEETING THESE REQUIREMENTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED)
✔ Must be fluent in English and Portuguese (speaking, reading, and writing)
✔ Must currently be enrolled in or have completed a Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in:
- Psychology
- Clinical Mental Health Counseling
- Social Work
- Marriage and Family Therapy
- Or a closely related behavioral health field
✔ Bachelor's degree candidates will not be considered.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical and psychosocial interviews with immigration clients.
- Gather psychological, medical, educational, occupational, social, family, and trauma histories.
- Identify symptoms consistent with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
- Administer and score psychological screening instruments when appropriate.
- Prepare comprehensive professional immigration evaluation reports.
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records.
- Communicate effectively with supervising clinicians and administrative staff.
- Provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed services to diverse immigrant populations.
Required Qualifications
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Master's or Doctoral program in a qualifying behavioral health field.
- Fluency in both English and Portuguese is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
- Excellent clinical interviewing and rapport-building skills.
- Strong professional writing and documentation abilities.
- Ability to independently prepare detailed psychological reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
