Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and move materials efficiently.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings to accurately lay out pipeline routes.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks related to pipeline supports and access points, ensuring durability and safety standards are met.
- Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation begins, preventing damage or hazards.
- Assist with concrete forming and pipeline installation activities on construction sites, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Support plumbing, pipeline, and oil & gas projects by performing tasks such as trenching, pipe fitting, and site cleanup.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport supplies around the job site.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining a safe work environment.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites involving pipeline installation or utility work is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and technical drawings related to pipeline projects.
- Familiarity with concrete forming techniques and finishing processes.
- Understanding of utility locating procedures using specialized tools like pipe lasers or electronic detectors.
- Experience with welding or basic pipe joining methods is a plus but not required.
