American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute hospital setting in Michigan, with Epic experience preferred and a Monday–Friday day shift schedule.

Work setting is an acute inpatient hospital environment in a Case Management role
-
Floating required as a case manager across any inpatient unit
-
Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
-
One weekend per month required, replacing a weekday shift rather than adding additional hours
-
No on-call responsibilities

Epic EMR preferred; training provided during orientation

Active MI RN license required (compact license not accepted in Michigan)

Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required

Epic EMR experience preferred

AHA certifications preferred

Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

State Board of Nursing license verification and NURSYS verification required for consideration

Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, prior authorizations, appeals and denials, determining medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines, and plan of care management

Compliance with CMS and HIPAA guidelines is expected

Pre-start modules are required and vary by specialty

Former core staff members must wait 12 months before returning to this facility

Maximum of 5 days of RTO per contract; all RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
