Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Coordinator & 3D Designer to join our team and drive the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will coordinate various aspects of construction projects, ensuring seamless communication among multiple team members and customers. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will be instrumental in delivering high-quality results to our customers.
The ideal team member will have a foundational understanding of building and be eager to contribute from conceptual development through final design and owner acceptance. Will have a profound impact on helping our clients achieve their project goals through visualization of 2D and 3D designs of their backyard. Will take direction from the President/Owner.
Essential Job Duties
- Conduct yourself in a professional work manner with coworkers and clients.
- Create, update and modify detailed 2D/3D drawings using company software.
- Provide technical details and definitions through the project designs.
- Ensure accuracy, quality and compliance with company standards, manufacturer specs and project specifications.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather information, clarify design requests/parameters consistent with the project scope.
- Maintain organized drawing files (with dates), revisions and documentation for project records.
- Responsible for creating and assembling drawing sets for internal use as well as local permits.
- Responsible for the entire permit process from start to completion of the job. Fill out necessary documentation, submittal and follow ups.
- Collaborate with sales team and Project Manager concerning creating/maintaining the installation schedule.
- Demonstrate consistent solid time management.
- Be open to and apply constructive criticism for professional growth.
- Responsible to utilize on-the-job training to gain specialized skills required to successfully perform within the team.
- Place product orders (when instructed) and manage the follow ups with vendors.
- Attend weekly Staff Meetings and/or Production Meetings to report on obstacles, address any escalated customer issues, discuss product issues that may affect installation time frames, job site concerns, judgement calls, mistakes, positive topics, etc.
- Responsible for material job costing (per job) and reporting metrics to the Owner.
- Assist with the coordination of specific tasks within the work flow of a sold job.
- Assist in the development of project timelines by applying construction scheduling best practices for efficient resource allocation.
- Develop and/or maintain a database of company processes pertaining to your job duties.
- Participate in and provide input to ongoing process improvement efforts.
- Responsible for completing KPI metrics and turning information in by the deadline.
- If you purchased any items, materials, etc, using company funds, you must turn in all receipts to Accounting every Friday.
- Essential job duties may shift or change as required by operational needs.
- Other tasks and duties may be assigned as company needs shift and change.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have general residential construction knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Apple products and software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive Attitude with a willingness to learn
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proactive and assertive in problem solving
- Experience in working in a team environment
- Proactive critical thinker with ability to research and find solutions
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
- 99% working indoors at your office/computer work and attending company meetings
- 1% working outdoors
- Must be able to lift 25+ pounds
- This position may include periods of extended computer activity
- Mentally able to process logical steps in your job duties
- Ability to keep a clean and clutter free work environment
