Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to perform custodial tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
- Maintain floors through buffing and waxing as needed to ensure a polished appearance.
- Conduct commercial cleaning duties in various settings, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of building infrastructure.
- Carry out industrial cleaning procedures for specialized equipment or areas as required.
- Provide porter services by transporting materials and supplies throughout the facility.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are maintained properly and stored safely.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies as they arise.
- Occasionally assist with residential painting projects when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina; able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment is beneficial.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.18 - $26.71 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
