Mid-Level ABA Supervisor – Master’s Level: Spanish-speaking or bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly preferred, but not required.
True Care Behavioral Solutions Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Mid-Level ABA Supervisor to join our growing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) team serving clients throughout Los Angeles County.
This position is ideal for a Master's-level professional with ABA experience who enjoys providing clinical supervision, supporting Behavior Technicians, working closely with families, and collaborating with a BCBA to ensure high-quality services.
Position Summary
The Mid-Level Supervisor works under the clinical oversight of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and provides ongoing supervision and support for assigned ABA cases.
Our clients are located throughout Los Angeles County, and supervisors must be comfortable traveling to client homes and community-based service locations based on their assigned caseload. Scheduling and case assignments are coordinated with consideration of geographic location whenever possible.
Responsibilities include monitoring client progress, supervising Behavior Technicians (BTs/RBTs), reviewing data and documentation, implementing treatment plans, providing caregiver training, and assisting with clinical case management.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing supervision and support to Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians assigned to client cases
- Conduct direct and indirect supervision under the oversight of the supervising BCBA
- Observe ABA sessions in client homes and other approved service settings
- Provide coaching, modeling, and performance feedback to direct-care staff
- Assist with implementation and monitoring of individualized treatment plans and Behavior Intervention Plans
- Review client data and identify progress, barriers, and areas requiring clinical attention
- Communicate clinical concerns and significant changes to the supervising BCBA
- Provide parent and caregiver training under BCBA oversight
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, school personnel, and other members of the treatment team as appropriate
- Review session documentation for clinical quality, completeness, and accuracy
- Assist with preparation of progress reports, treatment updates, and other clinical documentation
- Support staff with implementation of skill-acquisition programs, replacement behaviors, and behavior-reduction strategies
- Participate in case consultations and clinical meetings
- Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing support of Behavior Technicians
- Help ensure authorized ABA hours are appropriately scheduled and utilized
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
- Follow payer requirements, agency policies, HIPAA requirements, and applicable ethical and professional standards
- Maintain regular communication with the supervising BCBA regarding assigned clients and staff performance
Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related behavioral-health field
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and/or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and behavior intervention strategies
- Experience providing ABA services or supervising ABA direct-care staff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze behavioral data and identify clinical trends
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining appropriate communication with the supervising BCBA
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Los Angeles County to assigned clients
- Valid driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance, as applicable
- Ability to complete documentation within required timelines
Preferred:
- Previous experience as an ABA Mid-Level Supervisor, Program Supervisor, Case Supervisor, or similar position
- Experience supervising BTs and/or RBTs
- Experience providing parent/caregiver training
- Familiarity with insurance-funded and Regional Center ABA services
- BCBA coursework completed or currently enrolled in a BCBA-eligible program
- Individuals pursuing BCBA certification are encouraged to apply
Schedule & Service Area
Clients are located throughout Los Angeles County. This is not a position limited to one office or one geographic area.
Supervisors will be assigned a caseload based on agency needs, client locations, scheduling availability, and supervisor availability. The agency will make reasonable efforts to group cases geographically when possible; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to different areas of Los Angeles County as needed.
Candidates should have flexibility to provide supervision during times when clients and Behavior Technicians are receiving services, which commonly includes afternoon and early evening hours.
Certain supervision, meetings, documentation, and caregiver-training activities may be completed remotely when clinically appropriate and permitted by the client's funding source.
