About the Role: In this position, you will perform concrete sawing (initial/green), deep sawing & slurry cleanup on one or multiple construction projects. In this role, you will have the potential to move up quickly to a supervisory position and manage your own crew.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the foreman to evaluate initial cut timing
- Perform saw maintenance when required.
- Learn unique skills of the trade & be willing to provide input when needed.
- Work with foreman to lay out joints per the project plans and ensure all joints are cut within the contract tolerances.
- Attend jobsite meetings when necessary
- Ensure field policies and procedures are being followed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in concrete sawing is required.
- Positive attitude and great work ethic. Must show willingness to learn and follow company standard operating procedures.
The job will demand long hours and some weekends. This work is seasonal , therefore no work is expected to take place during winter months.
Starting pay will depend on experience. The Harper Company is a union contractor, therefore membership in the local laborer's union will be required. Applicants must be willing to learn certain skills required for the position.
Applicants must be able to pass a background check and a drug test. Applicants must also be authorized to work in the United States and possess a valid driver's license.
