About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Plate-Up Helper to join the food service team at the Oklahoma City Convention Center. You'll support large-scale meal service by assembling and plating prepared meals to presentation standards, maintaining speed and consistency in a fast-paced event kitchen environment.
This is flexible work booked through the WorkWhile app. Pick the shifts that fit your schedule, show up, and get paid as soon as the next day.
Shift Details
- Location: 106 SW 6th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73109
- Pay: $14/hour
What You'll Do
- Arrive on time in proper uniform, adhering to all kitchen grooming and conduct standards
- Follow plating instructions and presentation standards provided by the Kitchen Manager or Chef
- Accurately place food items onto plates in the correct order and arrangement for each course or menu item
- Maintain a consistent pace during high-volume plating to keep service on schedule
- Work closely with kitchen and banquet teams to ensure smooth, coordinated meal service
- Keep your workstation clean and organized throughout the shift
- Follow all food safety and sanitation practices at all times
- Assist with kitchen setup before service and full breakdown at the conclusion of each event
- Support teammates as needed to meet production demands and event timelines
- Uphold all kitchen procedures, safety practices, and company policies throughout the event

Requirements
- No prior experience required — on-the-job guidance provided
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs — this is a physical role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow presentation standards consistently
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
