Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash, credit/debit card payments, and mobile payments.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed.
- Handle cash drawer management with integrity, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
- Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining store cleanliness to enhance product visibility.
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via other communication channels.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and product demos to educate customers about new or featured items.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively and clearly.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and balancing the cash register at shift end.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is a plus.
