Haven Nashville is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at a brand-new inpatient behavioral health treatment facility. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the opening team and help establish a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for our patients and staff from day one.
As a Housekeeper, you'll play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and sanitation of our facility while helping support exceptional patient care.
Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift available
What You'll Do
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, common areas, nursing stations, therapy rooms, and administrative spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors, furniture, windows, and high-touch surfaces.
- Change bed linens and replenish towels and room supplies.
- Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and biohazard waste according to company policies and safety standards.
- Restock housekeeping carts and supply closets with necessary cleaning products and linens.
- Maintain the cleanliness of entrances, hallways, break rooms, and shared spaces throughout the facility.
- Follow infection prevention, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards promptly.
- Work collaboratively with nursing, facilities, and clinical staff to ensure patient rooms are prepared for admissions and discharges.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA guidelines.
- Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that promotes healing and recovery.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous housekeeping, environmental services, janitorial, or custodial experience required.
- Healthcare, hospital, behavioral health, hotel, or hospitality housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a behavioral healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in hospitals, residential treatment centers, nursing homes, hotels, or healthcare facilities.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and cleaning procedures.
- Experience using commercial cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
